After a few years of doing repairs
and wraps I made my first cue in 1992.
My background is machining and rather
extensive as 25 plus years as a machinist has left me proficient
on all types of conventional and CNC lathes, millers, grinders
and other machine shop equipment. I make all my own tooling
and fixtures. I invite you to further your assessment of my
abilities by inspecting my work.
My passion for pool began when at age
15 a poolroom opened in Ramsey,N.J. New Gold Crowns, new centennial
balls, a few poorly executed, badly missed shots and I was
in love! I then spent the next few years playing every moment
I could find for it. When my homeroom no longer held a challenge
for me I began to travel a little and
play in other rooms.
There was lots of great pool talent
in northern New Jersey at that time and tough competition
was readily available in players like Ray Martin, Jack Calavita,
my good friend Pat Fleming(Accustats), Alan Hopkins,Steve
Mizerak, Neptune Joe, Tommy Roucco, Toby Sweet and on and
on. Now, I'm not going tell you that I play better than any
of these people or even as well as most of them. However,
with the exceptions of Alan Hopkins and Steve Mizerak, I have
managed over the years to win a few games from the rest of
them. I've run over a hundred balls on several occasions and
won my share of nineball tournaments.
I'm sharing this information with you
in the hope of giving you confidence in my ability to assess
how a cue should preform.
Thanks for taking the time to read
it.
